Nifty Stories welcome message

Hi there, welcome to Nifty Stories, the site which will give undiscovered authors a chance to get their unpublished story, or stories, published in e-book and audio book format, and, hopefully, make some money from them too. Each story sold will net the author £1 sterling, whether sold in e-book or audio book format and hopefully large numbers of stories will be sold.

The e-books will be sold for just £2 sterling and the audio books for £4 sterling, due to the higher costs involved to produce and supply them. The idea being to sell these niftystories as cheap as possible in the hope of selling larger numbers of them and so getting you, the author, as much exposure as possible.

Hopefully Nifty Stories will build up a huge archive of undiscovered writers which publishers will search through and, with a bit of luck and ability on the part of the story writer, they will offer some of you book deals.

Each book will have a small section reproduced in both written and audio formats and a short précis of the story (like you would find on the sleeve of a ‘normal’ book), to give the buying public a chance to get some idea of what they are purchasing. Later Nifty Stories intends to add a counter to each book to show exactly how many have been sold and also we would welcome reviews on the stories to place up alongside them.

All the stories will be kept in the archives no matter how long ago we receive them and so this offers the chance for you to receive money from them throughout your lifetime. Or even longer.

So if you are an author looking to get your nifty story or stories available to a world-wide audience and are not willing to hand it over to a publisher for a pittance (or maybe you have been turned down by publishers after all even JK Rowling struggled to get a publisher and look how well she has done!!), please get in touch with us here at Nifty Stories.

Even if you have a collection of short stories, we can turn this into an e-book too, this is not about anything other than a chance for you , the author, to be recognised while, hopefully getting a good return on your story (or stories) which no publisher will offer on a first book or can offer as they have much greater costs and risks involved in producing the books.

This is a project I have had in mind for a number of years due to my own failures as an author to get my stories published, and later I do intend to place some of my own stories on the site. Whether your story be about aliens invading or star-crossed lovers we want to hear from you.

There is a short form to fill out with basic details and a contract were we agree to pay you £1 sterling per book sold and you agree to allow us to market the story for you and that you have written it yourself and not plagiarised your story. Then you will be given a choice of format to upload your story or stories so that we may then assemble them into a format for us to market. You will need to provide us with a current e-mail address as this will be how we will keep in touch with you, plus that will be your user name to access the authors section of Nifty Stories.
In this section will also be available a counter to track how many stories you have sold for each story you have sent to us. You will receive any money owed you through Paypal, each month, provided you have earned over £5 sterling, you will be sent monies owed.
